This one has been bothering me for awhile -- since I first saw the cover for THE AMERICAN HEIRESS. I finally solved my own riddle while browsing through the many pages of my online Wish List!
Be sure and click author Daisy Goodwin's name to take a look at the British cover - which I think looks very British (while "ours" looks American).
Subtle differences, but definitely from the same shoot. The train and blocking off the lower section make as much of a difference as the color and the fuzzy focus.
I have never quite understood giving a book a different title and cover when it is published in another country.
I live a stone's throw from the sea in a kookie household that includes my 3rd grade niece, "E-Girl-8" and my 6th grade nephew, "J-Boy-11". I read a wide range to books for adults and children. If you have a book you would like me to consider for a review, spotlight, or giveaway, please contact me at:

It's amazing what a little photoshop will do.
I love it when you post these!
I have seen quite a few but can never remember them to post them!
I have been noticing book covers, since reading your blog.
I knew that cover looked familiar! I loved the Dominick Dunne book by the way. He's one of my favorite guilty pleasure authors.

It is interesting to see how they change the covers for different countries.
