What's in your mailbox?
THE LOST SUMMER OF LOUISA MAY ALCOTT
by Kelly O'Connor McNees
for review from G.P. Putnam/Riverhead Books
I'LL MATURE WHEN I'M DEAD
by Dave Barry
for review - and I've already sampled it -- It's hilarious!
REPORTING AT WIT'S END
by St. Clair McKelway
for review from Bloomsbury
SWEATER QUEST:
My Year of Knitting Dangerously
by Adrienne Martinni
for review from The Free Press
I used a little "found money" and ordered some books recently.
Here's what I picked and why:
SEA OF POPPIES
by Amitav Ghosh
for the South Asian Authors Challenge
THE CAPE ANN
by Faith Sullivan
When I go on a "spree" I try to buy at least one new-to-me book. The narrarator of this book is six, and I like stories told from a child's point of view.
MOON WOMEN
by Pamela Duncan
This has been on my Wish List for years and it was time to bring it home.
THE CATS OF ROXVILLE STATION
by Jean Craighead George
To read to/with the kids - we love cats!
ROSES
by Leila Meacham
For my mom - and she's already read it and loved it!
