Teaser Tuesdays: FIFTH AVENUE, 5 A.M. by Sam Wasson

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Miz B. of Should Be Reading.

Want to play along?  Here's what to do:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"Whomever they cast couldn’t discharge sex like Marilyn, nor could she be young and innocent without provoking cries of Lolita. Furthermore, as a "good" call girl–not the Elizabeth Taylor kind that gets killed off at the end of Butterfield 8–Holly couldn’t be too seductive. Not alluring enough, however, and the character would have no call-girl credibility at all."

No one could come close to Audrey Hepburn - classic and classy.

Audrey Hepburn…a star as much as she was a woman.

Amazing to find this book! I have read it and thought it rather obscure. It was a so-so read for me.

Your teaser is a goodie!!

Happy New Year

I remember that Audrey was a relative unknown when they cast her for this part.

This is a great tease. My daughter and I have been having a slight love affair with Breakfast at Tiffanys of late so this would be perfect.
